USTA Officiating
Redesigned welcome and subpages focused on streamlined navigation

Project Overview
The Officiating Group from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) was one of two design projects undertaken during USTA’s transition from Oracle to Cornerstone. As part of this migration, the USTA prioritized simplicity in its page structure and navigation, aiming to improve accessibility and enhance the user experience.
This project ran slightly in tandem with the National Group initiative, and the home page design drew significant influence from the layout of the National subpages. A key distinction lies in the slider, which rotates between four items. While the first item serves as a welcome message, the subsequent three serve as call-to-actions linking to internal pages and resources.
The subpages were designed with a consistent structure, featuring a banner split 50/50 between a branded image and a colored content block. All subpages include tabbed content to make it easier for users to navigate between groups of information. The Disciplines & Courses Page contains course cards organized into four tabs for a clear and structured layout. The Mentoring Program Page offers tabs for general resources, mentee resources, and mentor resources, showcasing the USTA’s partnership with Mentorloop at the bottom of the page. The About Page: Features tabs for In-office Staff and Growth Managers, each displaying a grid of person cards. Clicking a card opens a modal with detailed information, including contact details, hobbies & interests, and education & certifications.
This unified yet versatile design ensures a seamless user experience while addressing the unique needs of the Officiating Group, solidifying their place in USTA’s evolving LMS ecosystem.
