Project Overview

The National Group from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) was the focus of one of two design projects completed during USTA’s transition from Oracle to Cornerstone. As part of this LMS migration, the USTA reevaluated its page structure and navigation to prioritize simplicity and improve both access to page actions and navigation between pages.

The home page features a branded video as the hero banner background, creating an engaging first impression. Overlaid on the video is an interactive header with two call-to-action buttons: one to navigate to the learning page and the other to navigate to the performance page.

Two subpages, designed and developed with consistent structure but distinct purposes, support USTA’s dual focus on learning and performance. The Learning page links to resources such as Learner Home, Event Registration, Transcript, Learning Search, and Training Submission. The Performance page, meanwhile, focuses on tools for Performance Snapshot, Goals, Development Plans, Reviews, and Skills. Each page concludes with a featured course relevant to its respective focus.

To enhance seamless navigation, a fixed button on the left-hand side allows users to quickly switch between the Learning and Performance pages. This thoughtful integration of navigation and design ensures a streamlined user experience as USTA transitions to a new LMS.
